Do you recognize this little bundle of adorable?

The New Westminster Animal Shelter is looking for the owners of a kitten who appears to have hitched a ride from Vancouver to New West in the hood of a car.

The kitten was found in the 300 block of Knox Street in Sapperton yesterday (Oct. 18). The vehicle in question started its journey at West 14th Avenue and Alder Street in Vancouver, so the shelter says it's possible that's where the kitten hopped aboard.

"Nobody knows when the kitten crawled up into the car, but a good possibility would be when the engine was still warm, which would have been 7 p.m. the night before they were found," the shelter said on Facebook. "The car was parked on the street. This kitten is definitely not feral, so likely escaped a home either in (New West) or Vancouver. We’re following up a lead in NW."

If you think this sweetie-pie may be your lost pet, contact the shelter at 604-519-2008 or shelter@newwestcity.ca. Proof of ownership will be required to claim it.
