It's Go By Bike Week from Oct. 3 to 7 in Metro Vancouver, hosted by HUB Cycling.

Ready, set, roll! It's the autumnal version of Go By Bike Week, hosted by HUB Cycling, from Oct. 3 to 7.

The week-long festivities include a variety of “celebration stations” throughout Metro Vancouver which offer free basic bike maintenance, cycling maps, snacks and prize draws.

If you're worried about riding in the rain (though perhaps not this week with the unseasonably warm weather), Go By Bike Week's event manager Kate Shen has equipment tips.

“Most of the gear you'll need to ride in the winter you also probably already own if you live in Metro Vancouver - a raincoat, rain boots, and gloves,” Shen said in a news release.

“We encourage our customers to choose cycling and other sustainable modes of travel year-round,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn in a press release. “Our major road network contains over 100 kilometres of bike lanes and TransLink offers the largest bike parking network in Canada, with 11 parkades across Metro Vancouver. We’re proud to partner with HUB Cycling once again to help promote a greener future.”

If you participate in Go By Bike Week, you can log your trips online at HUB's website
