Burnaby RCMP are looking for information regarding a convenience store robbery last Saturday night.

The robbery happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Sperling Avenue. Two masked men entered the store brandishing a gun and demanded money and cigarettes, Cpl. Daniela Panesar told the NOW.

With cash and cigarettes in hand, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, she added.

Witnesses, however, were able to get the vehicle’s licence plate number before the suspects drove off.

“(Investigators) ran the plate, it came back stolen, and then the vehicle was later recovered in Surrey,” Panesar said.

The suspects are still at large, and police don’t have any description, as both were wearing masks at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with info is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
