Russia Day celebration

Annual event with food, dance and more a big draw with 1,500 at last year's fest

There will be vodka.

The annual Russia Day celebration is set for Sunday, June 10, and organizers promise and day of family fun, food, drink and dancing.

The festival, which drew an estimated 1,500 people last year, is expected to draw even larger crowds for 2012.

Russia Day 2012 will feature a full day of family events, including concerts by local Russian performers, a large selection of Russian food, a special fun zone for the kids, art, a fashion show, a Russian DJ and dancing.

The celebration will be held at Burnaby's Serbian Centre, at 7837 Canada Way.
