Do you know someone who deserves a break?
Perhaps a devoted stay-at-home mom who could use some downtime on a sunny beach, or a hard-working volunteer who's always dreamed of climbing the Eiffel Tower.
Operation: Vacation is a new reality TV show being produced this year by Convergent Entertainment, a Vancouver-based media production company.
Burnaby residents are encouraged to nominate someone they know who deserves a week-long getaway to anywhere in the world.
A total of 15 people will be chosen for the series, to be aired in Canada and internationally in early 2013.
"We're looking for the best stories that people have, and that people want to tell about a loved one or somebody who does a lot of charity work," said Philip Webb, producer and senior vice president of production for Convergent Entertainment.
The most important part of the nomination process is to make sure nominees are kept in the dark until the day of the big surprise, Webb noted.
Applicants for Operation: Vacation should send a 250-word email about themselves, the nominee, and the nominee's dream destination, and also include a photo or two of themselves and the nominee.
