A serious motor vehicle accident has Willingdon Avenue closed between Kingsway and Kemp Street this afternoon.
It’s unclear, at this time, what happened and there’s no word as to whether anyone was injured.
Cpl. Daniela Panesar, spokesperson for the Burnaby RCMP, confirmed a serious collision has taken place, but she couldn’t speak to injuries or fatalities at this time.
Willingdon Avenue between Kingsway and Kemp Street is expected to be closed for several hours as police investigate the crash, Panesar said.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
