A Burnaby resident who escaped the twin blasts at Monday's Boston Marathon is hosting a run at Simon Fraser University this Sunday in support of the victims.

Rachel Fouladi, a psychology professor at SFU, competed in the marathon and missed the blasts by a matter of minutes. Three people were left dead, and more than 170 were injured.

Now home and safe in Burnaby, Fouladi wants to organize a run to support victims of the bomb attack.

Fouladi will lead the group run at SFU's Burnaby campus. People are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear blue and gold, the colours of the Boston Marathon.

The run is on Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at the Terry Fox Field on SFU's Burnaby campus.
