Sixty-four per cent of eligible Burnaby children aged 5-11 have received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Burnaby tied for the highest rate of second doses for children aged 5-11 in Fraser Health Authority

The COVID-19 vaccination rate of Burnaby children aged 5-11 continues to increase. 

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) COVID-19 surveillance dashboard, 64% of those aged 5-11 and eligible have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine as of Feb. 8

Burnaby holds the second-highest rate for first doses in Fraser Health behind New Westminster which currently sits at 65%. 

Burnaby also currently holds the highest second rate for the same age group at 11% while Surrey/White Rock sits one per cent higher at 12%.
