The snow is falling in Burnaby and the morning commute has slowed to a crawl.
All Burnaby public schools are open, but the Burnaby Mountain campus of Simon Fraser University has been closed.
“Due to significant snow forecasted and concerns about commuting conditions and the safety of our community, SFU’s Burnaby, Surrey and Vancouver campuses are closed today,” read a statement. “Buildings remain open on all SFU campuses, but classes, exams, services and campus activities are cancelled.”
The Burnaby campus of BCIT remains open today.
Drivers are being urged to use extreme caution while on the road today. TransLink is also advising riders to expect delays on bus routes and SkyTrain.
