Speeders, but no impaired drivers, were snagged in a CountAttack enforcement blitz in Burnaby Friday morning.
As part of a month-long ICBC campaign targeting impaired drivers, Burnaby RCMP and Transit Police set up check stops at three different Burnaby locations: on Cariboo Road under the Gaglardi Way overpass, on Government Street under the Gaglardi Way overpass and on Gaglardi Way about a kilometre south of University Drive.

A number of samples were provided during the blitz, police said, but no one was found to be impaired.
Police did issue seven tickets for speeding on Gaglardi Way though.
The enforcement was not related to the hit-and-run collision that killed a cyclist on Gaglardi last month, police said.
Alcohol was believed to have been a contributing factor in that incident, according to police.
