Want to treat your sweetie to a home-cooked dinner for Valentine’s Day but without the whole cooking part?

That’s where Paula Sidhu comes in.

The New West resident is well-known for her popular frozen samosas, which she makes at a rented commissary kitchen space and sells for folks to bake at home.

Now she’s branching out for Valentine’s Day with a full meal offering for you and the valentine, galentine or friend of your choice. (Or just for you, because who says you have to share?)

For your main course, you get a choice of two: butter chicken, chicken curry or two vegetarian options, aloo gobhi (potato and cauliflower cooked with onions, tomato and spices) or channa masala (chickpeas cooked in tomatoes, onions, ginger and garlic).

For dessert, you can choose from gulab jamun (pastry balls made with milk and deep-fried in sugar syrup) or ras malai (homemade cheese patty dressed in sweet cream with cold pistachios).

You also get naan or roti, an Indian salad and four veggie samosas.

All in, the meal will set you back $65 for two.

You need to order 48 hours in advance. It’s easy to do — just call or text Paula at 778-893-7154 or reach out through the Masala Capers Instagram account. You can pick it up at 2311 Dublin St., or delivery is available for an extra charge (depending on location).
