The total expenses came to $531,628, the report stated, leaving a surplus of $15,565.

Half of the surplus will go to the B.C. Seniors Games Society for future games and half will be held by the city for seniors' amenities, according to the report.

The City of Burnaby provided $55,000 - with a final payment for a portion of that amount, $30,000, approved by council in December - and $50,000 in in-kind support for the event.
