It took Burnaby RCMP only three weeks to track down and arrest the suspect in a brazen shooting at Brentwood mall in June.
Trevor Michael Scott Taylor was arrested on July 15 in relation to the June 21 shooting at Brentwood Town Centre, which took place around 8:30 p.m. near the McDonald’s.
Mounties believed the shooting was targeted but at the time told the NOW investigators weren’t sure whether or not it was gang related.
The 51-year-old victim, who had recently moved to the Lower Mainland, was meeting with two men prior to the shooting. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and recovered.
Taylor, 29, is facing several charges including using a restricted or prohibited firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition and possession of firearm contrary to order.
