With new restrictions prohibiting indoor dining until May 25, the Burnaby Board of Trade is running the “Eat Out & Win” contest to support the local restaurant sector and to encourage the public to visit a restaurant, café or brewery for the chance to have the business association pick up their tab.
During the contest window of April 20 through May 25, every time someone supports a participating restaurant, cafe or brewery --- whether by ordering delivery or take-out, dining on a patio, or even buying a gift card —  they can submit their receipt to [email protected]  for a chance to have the Burnaby Board of Trade pay it for them (up to $100)!
On May 26, lucky winners will be chosen at random and the Burnaby Board of Trade will reimburse them in cash for the amount of their receipt.  With nearly 40 participating businesses from all types of cuisines dotted throughout the city and the region, it’s easy for locals to join in and support their favourite restaurant.
“Local restaurants are an integral part of our community and help give our neighbourhoods character, while also representing an important part of our economy and job market. Unfortunately, they’ve also been among the hardest hit industries during the pandemic.   While we cannot visit them indoors at the moment, we can still order take-out, get our favourite dish delivered, or stop by a patio, and we’re hoping this contest gives everyone an extra excuse to get out there and support our restaurant sector,” says Paul Holden, President & CEO of the Burnaby Board of Trade.

The “Eat Out & Win” contest is open to anyone over the age of 19 and the full contest details, including the list of participating restaurants is available online at www.BBOT.ca/Eat
