Thirty-five per cent of eligible Burnaby children have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

A BCCDC report says 35% of children aged 5-11 in Burnaby have received one dose of COVID-19 as of Dec. 20, 2021.

The vaccination rate of children in Burnaby against COVID-19 continues to rise. 

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control COVID-19 surveillance dashboard, 35% of children aged 5-11 in Burnaby have received their first dose of vaccine as of Dec. 20, 2021. 

Burnaby holds the second-highest percentage in Fraser Health. New Westminster holds the top spot at 39%.

From Dec. 14 to 20, 2021, the city went from 26% to 3r5%. 

Percentages of communities in Fraser Health are as follows (as of Dec. 20, 2021):

The Central Coast, located in Vancouver Coastal Health, has the highest rate in B.C. at 73% as of Dec. 20, 2021.
