A three-car accident on Saturday night has resulted in six people going to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred just after 10 p.m. at the corner of Kingsway and Royal Oak Avenue and involved a taxi carrying five passengers and two other cars. There was a total of 10 people involved in the accident, with six people needing to go to hospital.
According to Cpl. Dave Reid of the Burnaby RCMP, it appears the people in the cab may not have been wearing seatbelts.
As for the other cars involved in the accident, Reid said investigators are still looking into what caused the accident, but preliminary indications are that speed was a factor.
