The Christmas Eve countdown is on, and for many families in Burnaby, there's still uncertainty as to what - if anything - will be under the tree the next morning.
The Burnaby Christmas Bureau is still collecting donations in support of its annual campaign. This year, the bureau needs to raise $210,000; at last count, they were approaching $130,000.
With less than a week to go, the crunch is on to get more donations in so the bureau won't be forced to dip further into reserves as they've had to do in past years.
