It’s been “traffic chaos” on a rainy Friday morning as commuters deal with the aftermath of a serious crash on the Burnaby-Vancouver border Friday morning.
Investigators from the Burnaby RCMP have been on scene for a collision involving a sedan and a parked dump truck.
Both the driver and the passenger of the sedan have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, said RCMP. The northbound lane of Boundary Road, between Kingsway and Moscrop Street, was closed for several hours, but at least one of the lanes was later reopened. Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
“My commute was a mess this morning,” wrote Burnaby NOW reader Terry G. “It was traffic chaos with the rain not helping.”
