A Vancouver man who was arrested last month by Transit Police officers is facing a second charge related to a sexual assault.

After media coverage of a sexual assault against a 12-year-old girl, an adult female victim came forward as well, according to a press release from Transit Police.

Jean Pierre Muyindu, 30, is now facing two charges of sexual assault, the release stated.

The first incident occurred on Aug. 31 at 3:45 p.m. when the girl boarded a Simon Fraser University express bus on Hastings Street near the Pacific National Exhibition and soon noticed a man edging toward her.

The man followed her as she exited the bus at Hastings Street and Willingdon Avenue and even sprinted through traffic and across the street to board another bus with her to Metrotown.

As she waited near the front of the 130 Metrotown bus to get off at the Brentwood SkyTrain Station, the suspect allegedly pinned her from behind and grabbed her buttocks.

She got off the bus and ran to the SkyTrain station where she asked a woman for help and ended up taking a train to Lougheed Station where the two reported the incident to an attendant.
