There is finally enough of the white stuff to force a snow day at two Burnaby school campuses.
Both SFU and BCIT announced early this morning (Wednesday) that their Burnaby campuses are closed for the day, with things not looking great for Thursday either.
SFU is not really a surprise because the roads leading up and down Burnaby Mountain are treacherous when it’s this cold and snowy. TransLink’s buses have been using snow socks, but are still struggling to get up and down the mountain. SFU said another announcement about Thursday classes will be made at around 6 a.m. that morning.
BCIT announced its closure via Twitter due to “severe weather conditions.”
