1 Get out for the last weekend of the survey exhibition by B.C. artist Renée Van Halm at the Burnaby Art Gallery. Van Halm's work, called Cross-Cutting/Inside Out exhibition, is on display at the gallery at 6344 Deer Lake Ave.
2 Get brunching for EBO Restaurant's special Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This gourmet brunch features a house-made roti station, snow crab legs and poached prawns, traditional breakfast favourites like French toast and eggs benedict and Chef Romeo's to-die-for dessert station. 3 Get your hair cut at the grand opening of Burnaby's first sports barber shop. Team Clips Hair Cuts at 7368 Market Crossing is hosting its grand opening with a barbecue on Saturday, April 7 from noon to 6 p.m. Even better, they're running a men's or boy's haircut special of $5.99 on April 6, 7 and 8. 4 Get eating at Horizon's Restaurant on Burnaby Mountain. Chef John Garrett has put together a three-course dinner for $35 and the promotion runs until the end of April (except for Easter Sunday). The menu features a choice between three appetizers, caramelized onion soup, vine-ripened tomato and fresh mozzarella or curry spice fried calamari; three mains, including barbecue spice rubbed chicken breast, B.C. sockeye salmon or New York steak; and dessert, including a hot fudge sundae or passion fruit green tea crème brule. 5 Get buying chocolate at Charlie's Chocolate Factory, located at 3746 Canada Way. Charlie has been making his special brand of chocolate goodness for more than 40 years and by using genuine Callebaut chocolate from Belgium, he's able to produce the best taste.
