I agree with Mr. Evans that property taxes are high. What Mr. Evans does not mention is that (on my last year's tax bill) nearly one-half of taxes billed to me goes to school taxes, TransLink, the regional district and the assessment authority. Now if we remove the sewer and water part, which comes to nearly $1,000, that would leave the city to run everything else with about $1,000 from my tax bill.

Now I wish Mr. Evans could be specific and tell us exactly where and how much he would remove that would be of any significance on my next property tax bill.
