Witnesses wanted for fatal crash on Edmonds Street

An elderly Burnaby man died after he was hit by a motorized scooter last week, and now Mounties are looking for witnesses to help piece together what caused the fatal crash.

An elderly Burnaby man died after he was hit by a motorized scooter last week, and now Mounties are looking for witnesses to help piece together what caused the fatal crash.

The accident happened at the corner of Edmonds Street and Mary Avenue around 1 p.m. on Sept. 11. Investigators believe a woman driving a blue scooter chair on the sidewalk collided with a man using a walker.

The victim, 91, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He died the following day, according to a media release from the RCMP.
