You can watch the Toronto Raptors practice in Burnaby this fall

SFU is hosting the only training session Burnaby basketball fans can attend as the team gears up for its Vancouver exhibition match.

The Toronto Raptors will be training in Burnaby in the days leading up to its 2023 pre-season game in Vancouver on Oct. 8.

There's three on the schedule ahead of the NBA Canada Series, but only one session will be open for the public to attend and watch in awe of some of the best basketball players on the continent.

Simon Fraser University (SFU) is set to welcome "We The North" to its West Gym at the Burnaby campus (8888 University Dr.) on Oct. 6 for an evening practice.

The event will be ticketed with a donation range of $20 to $40, an SFU Athletics news release reads, as the gymnasium can only has a 1,600-seat capacity.

Net proceeds are earmarked for the SFU Athletics General Fund, which supports its varsity teams and programs each year.

Tickets will be up for grabs at 10 a.m. on Sept. 6. The Raptors' practice at SFU is slated for 6 p.m. on Oct. 6.

Toronto's other two training sessions, which will be closed off to the public, are scheduled for Oct. 3 and 7 at the Christine Sinclair Community Centre.

The Raptors' time in Burnaby will mark the 2019 world-champion club's five-year return to B.C. and the eighth exhibition game in the province in franchise history.

Toronto is set to take on the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 8, 5 p.m. at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
