A double stabbing in Burnaby sent one teenager to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the area of Hastings Street and Howard Avenue just before 12:40 p.m.
On scene, there was one male youth who had been stabbed in the back and another who had cuts to his hands, which Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj described as “defensive wounds.”
Kalanj said it was too early to say whether the stabbing had been targeted or whether the youths were known to police.
Burnaby RCMP is investigating.
