Basketball academy offers free open house at Fortius

AllBALL Basketball Academy will hold a free day of hoop clinics and training from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 30 at the new Fortius Sport and Health facility in Central Valley in Burnaby

AllBALL Basketball Academy is offering an open house on Nov. 30 to showcase its new digs at Fortius Sport and Health in Burnaby.

The academy is inviting the community to come out for a free day of basketball clinics and training at its first open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burnaby's newest world class training and sport science facility.

The allBALL academy runs basketball programs for elementary and high school players throughout the Lower Mainland and will be running hoop programs when it begins operations at Fortius in March of next year.

The open house will be an opportunity for local ball players and their families to meet the coaches and learn what the program has to offer.

The academy's goal is to create successful individuals through three key elements - goal setting, improving technical skills and how they approach the sport.

"I am very excited about our new partnership with Fortius. Fortius is a state of the art facility, which will make it possible for us to provide high performance programming and training to all athletes in the Burnaby, Vancouver and Tri-cities areas," said allBALL founder and head coach Dwayne Selby in a press release.

The open house is open to boys and girls from grades 8 to 12. AllBALL will be holding a elementary open house in the new year. Space is limited, so email early to [email protected]. Please include name, school and grade level.
