Burnaby Lake Rugby Club front row forwards Scott Mackay and Micha Govorchin both scored tries for the B.C. Bears in a 30-21 loss to the Prairie Wolf Pack in an opening Canadian Rugby Championship match last Saturday at the University of British Columbia.
Mackay gave the B.C. team, including BLRC back row forwards Scott Plummer and Admir Cejvanovic and winger Joe Dolesau, a 7-3 lead following a successful conversion by teammate Connor Braid of James Bay.
Govorchin's tally in the 32nd minute helped the Bears take a second short-lived lead following Braid's second two-point convert.
