BCIT grad Patrick Switzer is the International Gravity Sports Association World Cup champion in downhill skateboarding.
Switzer garnered 2,216.85 points in his best five races to pip runner-up Douglas Silva of Brazil by nearly 200 points.
The Burnaby longboarder won a record four consecutive World Cup races this season, beginning with a first-place finish at the Kozakov Challenge in the Czech Republic in July. Switzer also won in Italy, Germany and Calgary.
