Gary Leung of Burnaby was a big winner in track and field at the B.C. Seniors Games in Kamloops.
Leung won four gold medals in the high jump, long jump, triple jump and javelin, while also earning a bronze in the men's shot put 55/59 age division.
Norm Lesage was victorious in the sprints, winning gold in the 100, 200 and 400 metres.
"I won three of them without breaking anything. Now I'm ready to meet somebody," said the 83-year-old Edmonds sprinter.
Lesage has plans to compete in Las Vegas with the intention of qualifying as a Nevada state champion at the end of September for a spot in the U.S. national championships in 2014.
"I'm getting older, but my times are holding up pretty good," Lesage said.
Gabriella Moro placed first in both the 65/69 women's shot put and discus. She was also second in the hammer throw.
Cyclist Barbara Davies won both the time trial and hill climb for competitive 65/69 women.
Sandy Ho won three table tennis gold, placing first in the 70/74 women's singles and doubles, while teaming with Won K. Kim for first place in mixed doubles.
Badminton also produced a good crop of medal winners from Burnaby.
Joelanne Stanfield won the 75/79 competitive women's singles and mixed doubles.
Cindy Louie defeated Jen Lee in the 60/64 recreational women's singles and then the two paired up for a shared gold in doubles. Louie
and Lee also picked up secondplace medals in mixed doubles. Phil Horton won gold in the 75/79 men's competitive doubles Ging Quan was first in the 65/69 competitive women's doubles and second in mixed.
Randy Gene was second in 60/64 competitive mixed, as was Bob Herar in men's 70/74 doubles.
Margaret Chew and Brenda Costa won silver in the competitive 55/59 women's doubles. Costa won the singles, while Chew won bronze in mixed.
Tom Wong placed third in the competitive 50/59 men's singles and was second in doubles.
Letty Gimenes was third in the competitive 65/69 women's singles and second in doubles.
In rec badminton, Anthony Kwan was first in 55/59 doubles, while Winston Quan and Jean Allen were second in 80/84 mixed open doubles.
Max Luk was second in men's 60/64 recreational singles.
Men's 75/79 singles bronze medallist Mike Yoo also placed second in mixed doubles in table tennis.
Maria Cui placed second with Peter Leung in 65/69 competitive mixed and third in women's doubles.
In cycling, Herman Bosman won the men's 65/69 time trial and was second in the hill climb.
Gino Crema was third in the men's 70/74 time trial, hill climb and road race.
In archery, Brien Gallagher was second in the 70/74 men's compound target and 3D, while Pat Myers also earned silvers in the women's 65/69 compound bow events.
Chris Morrey-Jones earned a bronze in mixed 60/64 tennis doubles.
Jason Ferguson earned a silver medal in golf and Marilyn Aldworth took a bronze in singles tennis.
David Fosbrook won bronze in men's 65/69 10-kilometre road walk.
Rose Bolam and Donna Anderson were second in Flight A 55-and-over whist, while Elizabeth Christie and Carole Sekulich also took a silver in Flight B. Jim Lange and Mike Warnick shares silver in over-65 men's ice hockey, while the Columbus soccer team, including Tony Gazzo, Ivan Spadari, Alan Sing, Terry Smith, Brian Richards and Salvatore Cresenzo won bronze in the over-55 men's division.
