Simon Fraser University women's basketball forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe was named the Great Northwest Athletic conference co-player of the week.
Raincock-Ekunwe had 52 points and 26 rebounds as the Clan split two games last weekend.
The third-year junior scored 37 points, equaling the sixth-highest single game total in GNAC history, in an 81-67 loss to Northwest Nazarene on Saturday night. It was the highest single game total since Sheena Brown of Alaska Fairbanks scored 44 against Central Washington on Feb. 12, 2009.
Raincock-Ekunwe also extended her own conference record for most double-doubles in a season to 21.
In last weekend games, Raincock-Ekunwe shot 62.9 per cent from the floor, while converting on 16 of 23 against Northwest Nazarene, equaling the Great Northwest single-game record for most field goals made set by Leada Berkey of Western Oregon against Central Washington on Feb. 21, 2008.
