The Burnaby Minor Bulldogs bantam A2 hockey team travelled to Merritt during Grey Cup weekend and captured the gold medal with an exciting 6-4 win over the Langley Eagles. The Bulldogs built a 6-2 lead halfway through the game and managed to survive some late penalty trouble to hang on for the win. On the road to the final, the Burnaby team had wins over Vernon 3-2, Surrey 6-3 and Kamloops 7-4. The team is back to their regular season games before taking part in another tournament over the Christmas holidays to be held at 8Rinks in Burnaby.
