Burnaby Central names high school award winners

Adam Chang, Trevor de Zeeuw and Xhalida September were named Burnaby Central Secondary's senior athletes of the year. Chang and De Zeeuw shared the boys' Grade 12 award, while September was the sole girls' winner.

Wrestlers Amar and Parm Dhesi kept the athlete of the year award in the family, taking the boys' top junior and Grade 11 awards, respectively.

Kelsi Boroevich won the Grade 11 girl's athlete of the year, while Chelsea Almadin was the Grade 10 winner.

Melanie Grendovich and Morgan Wright shared the girls' Grade 9 athlete of the year award.

Matt Fischer and Daniel Pervan were the juvenile boys' co-winners.

Chris Kim won the bantam boys' top athlete and Sophia Stevenson was named Grade 8 girls' athlete of the year.
