Alan Tolusso and Alex Françis finished near the top 10 in a pair of Zone 4 invitational junior golf tournaments last weekend.
Tolusso placed fourth in the Shaughnessy junior last Saturday and eighth at Marine Drive on Sunday, while Françis was just one stroke behind in both tournaments.
Tolusso, a Grade 11 St. Thomas More student, carded a four-overpar 76 at Shaughnessy Golf Club to finish four strokes behind the winner Cris Crisologo of Richmond.
At Marine Drive, Tolusso shot a threeover 74 to finish six shots behind winner Adam Svensson, who won the B.C. Amateur title as a 16-year-old in 2010.
Françis fired a 77 in Saturday's tourney and followed it up with a four-over 75 on Sunday.
