Briannah Tsang of Burnaby made the individual event finals in two disciplines at the Canadian women's artistic gymnastics championships on Saturday.
The 16-year-old Burnaby North Secondary student placed fifth on the vault and tied for seventh on floor exercises in the senior women's event finals in Regina.
Tsang, who trains at the Flicka gym club in North Vancouver, posted a score of 14.075 on the vault, the second-best score by a B.C. athlete at the championships.
Flicka teammate Brittany Rogers was runner-up on vault, just a fraction behind winner Ellie Black of Nova Scotia with a 14.475 total.
Tsang also tied with Sarah Flett of Manitoba on the floor, both with 12.950 scores.
In the senior women's all-around, Tsang placed 13th overall following an 11th-place finish on the first day of qualfications. Tsang's all-around score was 51.000, five points off the winning total by Kristina Vaculik of Ontario. Rogers was the best B.C. gymnast, finishing sixth overall.
Two up-and-coming Burnaby gymnasts - Itzia San Roman and Sofia Savkovic - placed 10th and 16th, respectively, in the women's open for 13 to 15 year olds.
San Roman, who trains at Phoenix Gymnastics in Vancouver, scored 47.000 in the all-around, which included top-10 placements on both balance beam and floor.
San Roman finished fifth on floor with a 12.775 score and ninth on the beam after an 11.925 routine. She qualified in sixth place on opening day, following a third-place score of 13.200 on floor and eighth-best routines on vault, uneven bars and beam.
Savkovic, who trains with the Surrey Gymnastics Society, garnered an all-around score of 41.875 on Day 2 of the competition following a 45.450 total in AA qualifying the previous day.
Tamara Kuno of Burnaby, 16, placed 15th with a 49.700 all-around score after the opening AA open women's competition for girls 16 and up. Kuno, a Flicka club gymnast, fell to 23rd in the 16-plus open women's finals with a 47.275 all-around score.
