In less than a week, the best female midget hockey teams from across the country will be in Burnaby to fight for the top spot in this year's Esso Cup.
From April 21 to 27, six teams will battle it out in the National Female Midget Championship.
The first game of the tournament pits the Atlantic and Ontario champions - Metro Boston Pizza and North Bay Ice Boltz - against each other. Game time is noon on Sunday.
Host team, the Fraser Valley Phantoms, will face the Edmonton Thunder at 8 p.m., also on Sunday.
All games will be played at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre, and from Sunday to Thursday there will be three games each day with the host team playing each night at either 7: 30 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Semi-finals and medal games will be played Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
Full-tournament ticket packages are available for $60 and include all 15 preliminary round games, both semifinals and the bronze and gold medal games.
