On March 3, the BCIT Jiu Jitsu Club will be raising money for Kid's Help Phone with proceeds from their Take a Stand sponsored throw fundraiser.

At the event, club members will demonstrate a variety of martial arts throws over the course of an hour in the spirit of raising money and awareness for Kid's Help Phone. The sponsored throw event will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Brentwood Mall in the atrium outside London Drugs on the Saturday.

As part of the event, the BCIT club hopes to increase awareness of bullying and support for services aiding bullied kids. Club instructor Kevin Eugene chose to contribute proceeds from the fundraiser to the Kid's Help Phone due to their services supporting children and young adults. The BCIT club invites anyone who is interested to join us as they Take a Stand against bullying.
