Burnaby Minor box lacrosse will be holding its new player registration at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre next week. New players will receive a free lacrosse stick and ball when they sign up in the Lakeview Room on Saturday, Jan.

Burnaby Minor box lacrosse will be holding its new player registration at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre next week.

New players will receive a free lacrosse stick and ball when they sign up in the Lakeview Room on Saturday, Jan. 19 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.

All returning players are asked to re-register online at www.burnabylacrosse.com.

Registration is open to boys five to 16 and girls five to 21 years of age.

There are further signups to be held on Saturday, Feb. 2 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and again Sunday, March 3 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., all in the Copeland centre Lakeview Room.

Sign up on or before Feb. 15 to receive the early bird rate.

Introductory Fun Lacrosse sessions are also being offered by Burnaby Minor lacrosse at the Charles Rummel Centre.

The first of two separate Friday sessions, designed for boys and girls aged five to 10 years of age, begin on Jan. 25 and run for five nights, beginning at 6 and 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Jan. 26 three one-hour groups will be offered at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. at the Rummel centre and will run until Feb. 23.

A Sunday session is also scheduled for Feb. 3 to 24 from 9 to 10 a.m.

No equipment is required, but space is limited so register early. A plastic stick and soft hollow ball is supplied.
