The Burnaby Lakers traded their fourth-round draft pick Richard Lachlan to the New Westminster Salmonbellies at the Western Lacrosse Association trade deadline on June 30.
In return for Lachlan, the 25th overall pick of the 2013 junior entry draft, the Lakers acquired the Salmonbellies' ninth-round pick in 2014 that they had acquired from Burnaby in an earlier trade. Lachlan, a former Port Coquitlam junior, has not played a game this season with Burnaby.
In other deals, the Nanaimo Timbermen traded Ryan Keith and Mike Berekoff to the Coquitlam Adanacs. In return, the T-Men added Jimmy Delaney and a fourth-round draft pick in 2014.
The Coquitlam Adanacs also sent Jon Harnett to the Victoria Shamrocks in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2014 WLA draft that Victoria had acquired from the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
But the biggest deal was inked just minutes before the deadline, with the Adanacs sending Dane Dobbie, Damon Edwards and goalie Nick Rose to the Langley Thunder in exchange for No. 7 draft pick Brandon Goodwin, defender Matt MacGrotty and the Thunder's third-round pick in 2015. The trade also includes a conditional pick. If Dobbie plays more than four games for the Thunder in 2014, the Adanacs will receive Langley's first-round pick in 2015.
