The last two remaining Burnaby skaters bowed out of the NCAA midwest regional hockey championships.
Cornell's Dustin Mowrey had his season come to an end following a 2-1 loss to Ferris State in the midwest final in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Sunday.
Mowrey scored the Big Red's only goal, slipping a puck through the legs of Ferris goalie Taylor Nelson on a partial break in the opening two minutes of the third period.
Mowrey and freshman defenceman were both named to the all-region team from Cornell.
The Burnaby forward also picked up an assist, his 15th helper of the season, on the game-winning goal in extra time in No. 14-ranked Cornell's a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 2 Michigan in the midwest semifinal on March 23.
Mowrey finished the season third in team scoring with seven goals, 22 points and a plus-11.
