Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of Burnaby will be the youngest player on Canada's world championship national hockey team.
The 19-year-old NHL Edmonton Oilers' rookie of the year hopeful is one of five B.C. players named to the national team. Nugent-Hopkins is also joined by Oilers linemate Jordan Eberle, who scored both goals, including the shootout-winner in Canada's 2-1 exhibition win over Switzerland on Sunday.
Canada gets underway against Slovakia in Group A play on Friday.
