Interested in nominating someone or a team for induction into the Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame?
You'd better hurry. Nominations close for the 2012 inductions on Nov. 1.
The Hall of Fame committee is looking for nominations to the athlete, coach and builder categories, as well as for teams.
Each nomination should be accompanied with supporting documents, newspaper clippings, certificate of achievement, etc. No scrapbooks please.
Criteria for all four categories is on the Sports Hall of Fame's website at www.burnabysportshalloffame.ca.
All nominations should be delivered or mailed to Jill Porter, Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame, c/o Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, Suite 101, 4946 Canada Way, Burnaby, V5G 4H7.
The induction ceremony for new inductees will take place Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Burnaby Firefighters' Club in Metrotown. Tickets will go on sale in December.
