Burnaby's Alan Tolusso won his second Zone 4 junior golf tournament, firing a two-under-par 70 at the Squamish Valley club on May 13.
Tolusso won his first zone 4 event at the Capilano junior and followed that up with a third-place finish at Point Grey.
100TH CAREER HIT
Alex Calbick got his NCAA Division I 100th career hit to help lead the University of Maine to a two-game sweep over Hartford on May 12.
Calbick reached his century with the first of his three hits in Maine's opening 6-3 win. The Burnaby third base also batted in a run in a 7-1 win over Hartford with his teamleading 16th double.
Storm second
Maryann Slama scored two goals to lead the Pacific Storm to a 12-11 win over Fraser Valley in the semifinals of the 18and-under national women's water polo championships in Kamloops.
The Storm lost in the final to Renegades A 11-7.

Sports car driver Michael Valiante helped place the Spirit of Daytona Chevrolet Corvette entry in fifth at the Grand Am Rolex series Global Barter 250 in New Jersey on Sunday.

North Burnaby Boxing Club's Remy Laovie won
his first-ever amateur bout, outpointing Tim Stephenson of Port Kells in a three-round 160-pound middleweight bout at the Clash of Cascades 18 in Langley last weekend.
Super heavyweight 66, 250 lbs. Adam Querido also won a three-round decision.
