The provincial age group championships was a medal playground for the Hyack Swim Club.
The New Westminster-based swim club took home a total of 39 medals, including 13 gold and four provincial meet records at the AAA short course meet in Surrey last weekend.
Sherry Liu of Burnaby shattered the provincial meet record in the girls' 16to-18 400-metre freestyle.
The Burnaby swimmer set a new meet and club record with a winning time of 4: 09.45, eclipsing the time of Vancouver Island runner-up Taylor Padington by more than 10 seconds, while beating the old mark set by Cassie Morrice in 2009 by more than five seconds.
Liu also won the 800m free and 400m individual medley. Liu was also runner-up in the 200m free and IM.
Eleven-year-old Ethan Laing set new meet standards in the boys' 11-andunder 100 and 200m breaststroke.
Laing lopped a full second off the old provincial mark in the 200m breast, winning in a time of 2: 50.41. The young Hyack also shaved two-tenths of a second off the 100m standard.
Stephan Milosevic broke a longstanding club record in the boys' 16 to 18 200m free, setting a new mark of 1: 50.64 in the final.
Milosevic also won gold in the 200m backstroke and 400m individual medley, a silver in both the 200m IM and 1,500m free and a bronze in the 200m butterfly.
