A combined Burnaby/Ridge Meadows field lacrosse team won a silver medal at the girls' under-12 provincial tournament at Willoughby Community Park in Langley on Sunday.
Cassie Hinada was named the team's game MVP following an 8-3 loss to New Westminster in the girls' gold-medal final.
The team compiled a pool record of 2-1-1 to advance to the tournament final.
Alexis Mellish was Burnaby's game star in a 3-3 draw with Langley.
Mission girls Hailey Taylor and Shonly Wallace were game MVPs in the team's 6-4 win over Coquitlam and an 11-10 victory over Port Coquitlam, respectively.
Gabby Zenone was the Burnaby star in the team's earlier loss to New West in the pool competition.
Burnaby coach Caitlyn Greenlay was singled out as the u-12 fair play coach.
