Justin Capicciotti was named to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II all-super region four squad as voted on by The Don Hansen football committee. Capicciotti was named to the defensive third team.

Capicciotti's nomination to the all-super team comes after the defensive lineman was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference co-defensive player of the year.

The Clan defensive end finished third in the conference in sacks this past season with 10 and also ranked in the top 10 in total tackles with 66. He was named to the first all-conference team in addition to being named co-defensive player of the year.

The super region team carries on the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at the age of 75 in August of 2010.

Hansen, from Brookfield, Illinois, started and published Don Hansen's national weekly football gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Div. II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.

Hansen's football gazette began selecting Div. II all-region squads in 2003. The first team and second team all-region selections advance to a national ballot from which the NCAA Div. II All-America team will be named in January.

National champion Pittsburg State University of the MIAA led the way with 11 honorees, including three first team defensive selections.

MIAA member and NCAA post-season qualifier Washburn University garnered nine selections, including four first-team offensive selections.

Lone Star Conference champion Midwestern State University, as well as MIAA members Missouri Western State University and Northwest Missouri State University all produced eight honorees apiece.
