Burnaby/New Westminster brought home a championship banner from the Fraser Valley association's Spirit of Winter ringette tournament last week.
Held in Langley, the Burnaby/New West Ringette under-14 team won all five games games, including a semifinal win against host Fraser Valley and an 11-6 victory over Delta in the finals, resulting in first place and the u-14 divisional championship.
Coach Avelino Lopez was very proud of the incredible effort that the players put into the games with an exciting score in the final game against their long-time rival from Delta.
