Sinclair tallied her 138th and 139th international career goals for Canada, ensuring a big three points in the team's second match at the London Olympic Games. Canada lost its opening game 2-1 to Japan last Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Canada drew 2-2 with Sweden to earn a spot in the quarterfinals as one of the top two third-place finishing teams in overall group play.

Melissa Tancredi scored both goals for Canada against the Swedes.

Sweden and Japan shared top spot in Group F with five points apiece and also moved on to the final eight.

Women's soccer quarter-final play begins on Friday.
