The Simon Fraser University hockey club took its frustrations out on the University of Victoria Vikings for a second time this month.
The Clan pounded the defending B.C. Intercollegiate league champions 11-2 at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Saturday.
The one-sided win was the second for SFU in two weeks over UVic. The Clan cruised to an 11-4 victory over the Vikings at the Ian Stewart complex in Victoria earlier in the month.
UVic defeated SFU 4-3 in overtime in last season's championship playoff final in Kamloops.
Clan captain Christopher Hoe led the onslaught, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists.
League scoring leader Ben Van Lare, Mike Ball and Jono Ceci also recorded four-point games, matching each other with a goal and three helpers.
Nick Sandor opened the scoring for the Clan on a power-play midway through the first period.
SFU then rattled off seven more goals in a row before UVic broke the string halfway through the final stanza.
Five seconds after the ensuing faceoff, Brenden Silvester counted his 10th goal in five games and second of the contest to spark another three-goal run in a five-goal third frame.
Graeme Gordon recorded the win in goal for the Clan, kicking out 31 saves. Trevor Milner chipped in with a goal and two assists for the Clan.
With the win, SFU improved its league record to 11-3-0-1.
This Saturday, SFU is at the Langley Events Centre to take on Trinity Western University. Game time is 7 p.m.
