Clan club still unbeaten

The Simon Fraser University club hockey team beat up on the lastplace B.C. Intercollegiate league club last weekend. The Clan dispatched Selkirk College 6-1 on Saturday and then posted a 10-1 victory the following day in Castlegar.

Ben Van Lare led off the road trip with a hat trick on Saturday. Van Lare added his league-high 18th goal in Sunday's one-sided win. Colton Graf also contributed a three-point outing, including the game-winner midway through the first frame.

On Sunday, Jono Ceci had a hat trick and a single assist, opening the contest with a goal in the first minute of play.

Bill Smith and Van Lare both collected a goal and two helpers, while captain Chris Hoe chipped in with three assists.

Tadz Brown potted a pair of late goals for the winners.

The Clan plays Eastern Washington at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Saturday at 7 p.m.
