The Simon Fraser University club hockey team will donate a portion of this week's ticket sales to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Clan take on Trinity Western University in a B.C. Intercollegiate league matchup at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The cancer society will be at the game handing out gifts and providing information on how lifestyle changes can make a difference in good health.

SFU is off to a strong start in league play, cruising to a 12-1 victory over the University of Victoria in a rematch of last season's championship game.

League scoring leader Ben Van Lare garnered five points, including two goals, to be named the game's first star.

Kale Wild and Jesse Mysiorek also tallied a pair apiece, while Chris Hoe and Jono Ceci both contributed four-point outings.
